The Civic League is fundraising for the Foodbank with a “virtual” 5k walk/run to take place on November 8, 2020 at 10am. Virtual means you select your time and route so that we can be safe and use social distancing.
We will please giving out finishers medals so please contact Amanda Robinson to confirm your participation by emailing her at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Why we are doing this – Fundraising 5k walk/run to support Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and Eastern Shore and we want you to join!
Either run or walk with your family, friend and, or your pet. you select the time and your route.
When – Sunday, November, 8, 2020 at 9:30 OR at any time that you choose
Where – You may map your route with Map My Run right from the front of your home, or meet up with neighbors and select a route from the meet-up point. A 5k is 3.1 miles.
Here are options for a route from the Point, Parking lot or Bushnell. Also one that goes across Rudee Inlet. You can also design your own!
In conjunction with our fun run/walk we ask that you please help the Croatan Civic League support the Foodbank of Southeastern Virginia and the Eastern Shore by making a donation through our “Croatan Cares” Online Food and Fund Drive.
The Foodbank is leading the effort to eliminate hunger in our community and can turn $10 into $60 worth of grocery products for our neighbors in need.
