Croatan is a beach community of predominantly single family homes in Virginia Beach, nestled next to the Atlantic Ocean just south of Rudee Inlet.
The Croatan Civic League (CCL) works to improve the neighborhood, enhance the quality of life, help protect the environment and provide supplemental security services for residents and guests. We have several clubs including a Women’s Club and a Book Club. The CCL publishes a monthly news letter and a neighborhood directory periodically to help us get to know our neighbors. We also sponsor periodic neighborhood events such as the CCL – Spring Fling, Neighborhood get- together’s, a Halloween parade and acitivites for the children and a CCL annual dinner/meeting each fall.
Well over 300 families and property owners support the Croatan Civic League. We invite all residents of Croatan to join us and support the efforts to preserve, protect and promote the interests of our very special community.

Here's some additional information on the age breakouts that may be useful. In looking at the raw numbers you may come to the conclusion that 20-39 year olds are many times more likely to get COVID than seniors. That would be inaccurate, as there are actually a lot more 20-39 year olds in the population. If you normalize the case numbers to population numbers, you get the "Index" values below, which show that these age groups are only a little more likely to catch COVID (1.2-1.5x) Those over 60 are pretty close to their fair share of cases based on their population numbers, and of course are MUCH more likely to be hospitalized and to die from COVID. Age Group VB Population % of VB Population % of Cases Index 0-9 55,553 12.3% 4.0% 0.32 10-19 53,659 11.9% 8.8% 0.74 20-29 68,180 15.2% 22.6% 1.49 30-39 69,110 15.4% 18.4% 1.20 40-49 53,838 12.0% 14.0% 1.17 50-59 56,991 12.7% 14.1% 1.11 60-69 47,694 10.6% 9.8% 0.92 70-79 29,435 6.5% 4.8% 0.73 80+ 15,514 3.4% 3.4% 0.99
